The Ulitimate Fashion Week Style Pick: Tie-up Heels

Fashion week is almost here and I’m looking forward to the peacocking shenanigans that will be taking placce down at Somerset house. I'm worried because the major wardrobe planning that should of happened weeks ago, still has not happened, so I really and truly need to get my act in order!

As London fashion week is looming, it's given me an excuse to get a 'fashion week' buy. Full season stock is not quite all in stores, so I'd rather wait a little for the full collection to be on offer and invest designer accessory in the mean time. I’ve decided that I’m going to opt for a pair of shoes, as shoes can effortlessly elevate a look, as well as being a number I team with multiple outfits and wear season after season.

This summer saw a shoe trend epidemic with the tie-up heel shoe styles. They are an open foot shoe design that often sees intricate detailing in the main body of the shoe, fastening up the ankle design in a tie-up design.

Tie-up shoes make the foot look dainty, they are an eloquent style which instantly gives a look that sultry feminine attitude. There are so many benefits to investing in this style of shoe where you can opt for styles that are printed or bright in colours instantly giving your look that added depth and texture.

There should be a space for tie-up heels in everyone's shoe collection as they elongate the legs, while being versatile enough to team with all kinds of wardrobe staples. Skirts, tailored trousers to shorts and one of my fave style aesthetics ripped boyfriend jeans, the styling possibilities can go on into infinity.

The array of styles available this season has reached a all time high where we have seen more style variations than ever, from your knee length tie-ups to wedged and blocked heel styles. Even though everyone from celebrities to the rest of us may be rocking this shoe style, I love this piece because you can still make it your own by styling the shoes with garments and accessories that suit your personal style, where I’d be tempted to wear this style with sheer ankle socks as we start to settle into autumn winter months.

Going designer with such piece seems to be the only foreseeable investment path as the quality and craftsmanship is unequivocal compared to its high-street sister. Sophia Webster, Gianvito Rossi as well as Giuseppe Zanotti have all been pioneers of this design where this season they have design some of their most mesmerising designs to date.
