The Ankle Boot Edit

One more bust of sunshine this week and then you may as well call it quits and say goodbye to summer until 2015. The nights have already started to get darker and before you know it will be dark at 5 o'clock and winter will  officially here! Transitioning from summer to winter can defiantly leave you feeling like you’re on a bit of a ‘Debbie downer’ but autumn winter months can have its perks too…like, shopping for a winter wardrobe for instance, a good bit of retail therapy always helps to put a smile on your face.

It may sound crud, but I almost prefer dressing for autumn winter; the fashion is more dynamic and interesting with lots more colours, textures and layering to play around with.  My favourite things to buy alongside an awesome winter coat are boots. Tall shaft boots are set to be the most covet style of fall 14 but it’s a style that won’t suit everyone as I think it takes a certain body shape to pull of the most stylish of looks. One style that I just can’t get enough of at the moment are ankle boots, it’s also a style that can work for everyone.

Ankle boots are one of the most stylish and versatile styles on the market. You can opt for heeled or flats, investing in a decent pair be it designer or good quality leather always means that you will get your good cost per wear out of them, making the ones to pull out for the following year also.

The ankle boot is a good little transitional style pick that works well in weekend and weekday looks, they look great paired with skirts or trousers and what I like about them the most is the fact they are sturdy and practical. Rain or shine the ankle boot is a trusted shoe style that will keep your feet comfortable and protected.
