The Underestimated Style Pick: Blazer Vest

I’m falling for fall, I just can't help it. The colours, the fabrics... new season is just so exciting and it just makes me think that wardrobe update needs to get right into action. I've not seen any leaves or conquers cascading form trees so I’d say we are not quite in fall yet and probably won't be for at least another month or so. Its all good and well the seasons turning as they wish but it does make it ever increasingly difficult to dress appropriately. Transitioning between seasons has got to be the hardest times to dress.

It’s too warm to bring out the overcoat or knitted sweaters, shearling is set to be a one of the most covet trends for the season and it’s way too early for furs. So what outwear can you wear with all your wardrobe basics? I’m even getting hot walking to work in a leather jacket.

I’ve found it, it’s been around for seasons now but I’ve never really played the blazer vest too much attention. But the Blazer vest is this week’s secret wardrobe weapon a real hero piece I've well and truly underestimated. The versatile transitional piece is a wardrobe winner that can take you effortlessly through seasons while being a piece that is practical and stylish.

The sleeveless blazer will keep you cooler compared to its sister blazer design; you can really play around with the no sleeve notion, layering the piece with garments that are rich in colour, print and texture. Or alternatively you could just pick a statement style sleeveless blazer picks to elevate any looks you team it with.

At a glance the blazer looks like a sartorial piece perfect for the office, but it’s also a number that you can dress down for the weekend for a more urban streetwear aesthetic in which it would like awesome in an outfit composition that saw it teamed with pieces like a slogan tee and a cool pair of slip ons. Working the piece in the same way you can style it with luxe leather pieces like leather shorts or accessories for a fashion forward sports luxe look.

I personally would like to rock the piece in a minimalist look, Celine inspired with manish like shoes with impressively well-tailored trousers. I also like the fact that you can literally wear this as a stand alone piece, teamed with some killer lace up heels would for sure have all eyes on you. The amount of looks you can get out of this one piece is truly endless which makes the blazer vest a worthwhile investment that you can rock season after season.

I’ve had a little snoop to see what the best styles are on offer this season and here is my top 10 style picks...
